The My Little Pony Dream Castle, 1984...Before My Little Pony there was My Pretty Pony, a larger toy - each one standing about ten inches high. These were on sale in the USA from 1981 onwards, until at least 1983. My Little Pony, by Hasbro, arrived in American toy shops in 1983 and then trotted over to England.

The ponies had names like Bowtie, Confetti and Peachy (sorry, I don't know the names of the two pictured above!). I seem to recall that at least one of them wore leg warmers.
